1. What we collect when you fill the contact form
- Your name — so we know who we are replying to.
- Your email address — so we can write back.
- Your phone number, optional — only if you give it to us, and only used if email reply is delayed or your question needs a call.
- Company or institution, optional — useful for institutional quotes.
- The sector and kind of work you select — so we route the inquiry to the right person (sales@ for product questions; projects@ for site work and bulk).
- Approximate scale and target delivery date — your project size and timing.
- Your free-text brief and notes — what you told us about the work.
- Material preference, optional — if you specified one.
- Budget range, optional — if you selected one.
- Whether you ticked the "send me workshop notes" checkbox, optional — controls whether we add you to our low-volume email list.
We also record, automatically and only for spam protection, the IP address your submission came from and your browser's user-agent string. These are stored with the inquiry and with a short-lived counter that limits how many submissions one connection can send in an hour. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not track you across websites. We do not collect your location or a device fingerprint, and we run no analytics scripts or tracking pixels on this website. The typefaces are served from this website itself, so loading a page sends nothing to Google or any other third party.
2. Why we collect it
The information you send through the form exists for one reason: to let the workshop reply to your brief. We use the data we receive for the conversation you initiated, and (if you opted in) the workshop-notes email list. We do not use it for anything else.
3. How long we keep it
- If your inquiry becomes a project: we keep the brief and contact data for the duration of the engagement, plus the seven-year statutory records window for invoices and contracts under Indian law.
- If your inquiry does not lead to a project: we keep the brief for 12 months from the date you sent it, then delete it. The reason is that some engagements begin long after the first brief (the operator may be scouting for two quarters).
- Workshop-notes email list: you stay on it until you ask to leave. Every workshop notes email has an unsubscribe link.
4. Where the data lives
The form appends your submission to a private log file on the same server that hosts this website. The server is in the Bhopal workshop's hosting account. The file is not exposed to the public web.
If your inquiry is forwarded by email to sales@ or projects@, the email copy is held in the workshop's mailbox on the hosting account's email service, retained for the same durations as above.
5. Who we share it with
No one. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties. We do not run advertising or remarketing. We do not load third-party scripts that read form data.
6. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Send you the data we hold about you.
- Correct any data we hold about you.
- Delete the data (other than records we are required to retain for statutory reasons).
- Take you off the workshop-notes email list.
To make any of these requests, write to sales@thedivineworkshop.in. We reply within seven working days.
7. The honeypot
Our form includes a hidden field that real users cannot see. The field is set so that automated form-spam bots fill it; legitimate browsers do not. Submissions where this field is filled are silently dropped. The honeypot does not collect data from you — it only filters bots away from reaching us.
8. Changes to this notice
If we change anything material here — including what we collect, who we share it with, or how long we keep it — we will update this page and update the "last updated" date below. Material changes are also summarised in the workshop-notes email.
